HomeTrack

Privacy policy

In effect from 13 September 2026

HomeTrack keeps a household's agreements about chores, the work done under them and what was paid for it. It collects what that needs and nothing else. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Who is responsible. HomeTrack is made by David Cvetkovski, who decides how the information described here is used and is the data controller for it. Questions, requests and complaints go to support@davidcvetkovski.com.

What is collected

WhatWhy
The email address and user ID Apple shares when you sign in with AppleTo sign you in and tell your account apart from others. If you choose Hide My Email, the address is a private relay address Apple makes for HomeTrack. Your Apple Account password never reaches HomeTrack.
Names you give people in a householdSo everyone can see who agreed to what. These are whatever the household owner types — a first name is enough.
Contracts, signatures, notes, time offThey are the agreement the app exists to keep.
Work logged, and what was earned and paidSo the statement adds up. No money moves through HomeTrack; it only records what the household says was paid.
Photos handed in as proof of workBecause a contract can ask for them. Photos are resized and re-saved on your phone before they are uploaded, which removes the location and other details a camera stores inside the file.
A push notification tokenSo your phone can be told when someone in your household does something you're waiting on. Only if you turn reminders on.

HomeTrack does not collect your location, contacts, device identifiers for advertising, browsing activity, or anything about how you use the app. Photos you don't choose to hand in never leave your phone.

Who can see it

Children

HomeTrack is meant to be set up by a parent or guardian. A child can only join a household by entering a code that the household's owner created for them, so a child's use of the app always starts with an adult deciding to invite them. By inviting a child, the owner confirms they are that child's parent or guardian, or have their parent or guardian's permission. The app has no ads, no public profiles and no way to contact anyone outside the household.

If you believe a child is using HomeTrack without a parent's knowledge, write to support@davidcvetkovski.com and the account will be removed.

How long it is kept

For as long as the account exists. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app — Settings, then Delete account. What that removes depends on your place in the household:

Either way, HomeTrack's access to your Apple Account is revoked with Apple as part of the deletion.

Deletion is immediate. Copies in the hosting provider's backups are overwritten within 30 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to receive a copy in a portable form, or to object to or restrict how it is used. Most of this you can do in the app: the owner can amend a contract, any contract can be saved as a PDF, and any account can be deleted. For anything else, write to support@davidcvetkovski.com — you'll get an answer within a month.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the information is used because it is needed to provide the service you signed up for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Everything travels over encrypted connections. Access is checked by the database on every request, so one household cannot read another's records even with a modified app. Photos are kept in private storage that only members of the household can open.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, you'll be told — by email or in the app — before the change takes effect. The date at the top always shows the current version.
